Thanksgiving Roadtrip

Here we are at 6:30 a.m. last Wednesday as we began our 12 hour drive back to Nebraska for the Holiday. We had a great time, saw lots of family, and ate lots of food. We got to celebrate an early Christmas, too, with all our parents, siblings and cousins... Posted by Picasa

Go, Daddy, Go!

Mike finally cashed in his Texas Motor Speedway gift certificate and took a five-lap ride with a professional driver last weekend. He had a blast! Here we are after the race with daddy and his yellow corvette.

Afterwards, we checked into the Hyatt Regency downtown Dallas. After freshening up, we headed the few blocks to the West End where we took a horse and carriage ride, and dined at Landry's. Sunday, the kids and I returned home while Mike stayed for an EMS Conference.

Tomorrow, we're off to Nebraska for the Thanksgiving holiday. Macy was so excited tonight, she had such a hard time going to bed. I'm pretty excited, too.

I'll be back next week with plenty of Thanksgiving pictures. Have a great Thanksgiving, everyone! Posted by Picasa

Wow, last week was a long one! I guess all things eventually equal out because up until that point, they had been flying by at lightning speed!

Since the big Halloween holiday, the Miriovskys went back to normal - okay... Normal with Candy! On Friday Ms. Connie's was closed so we tried out a new in-home nanny through my work options group. Ms. Susan seemed to do fine, besides the fact that she was exhausted, and the kids seemed happy with her too.

Saturday was spent doing the normal things, dance class, laundry, cleaning, football-watching and Sunday we journeyed once again to Canton for some early Christmas shopping. We were unable to secure a sitter, so the kids came along too. Besides one pretty major simultaneous meltdown (oh, the looks of sympathy we got!!!) we all had a great day.
