Last weekend Nathan and Ashley, our good friends (and favorite babysitters) got married. Macy was honored to be flower girl for the occasion. Here she is at the prenuptial with the bride and groom.

Nicks enjoyed the dinner, too!

And on the big day, she joined the ranks of the bridesmaids and got her hair did!
The finished product!!
Just getting some exercise in before the festivities began. Macy ran up and down the hallway many, many times. I think she liked the way the dress felt as she ran!
Can you say "superflirt?" She adores Nathan.
She saved lots of love for Ashley, too.

These two saw each other and the rest was history. Here's Nicky making his first move. Turns out, these two have the same birthday! They were so cute together but it is nearly impossible to take a picture of two on-the-go 15-month-olds!
Although we were all tired, we stopped to take this shot on our way to the car.

Happy Easter, Ya'll!!

Finally catching up after our long Easter weekend. Thursday night Mike's family came into town. It was so nice to have family for the holiday. On Friday, Mike's parents and his sister went with me to St. Mary Magdalene for my firs confession. I walked in with my handy list of the past 32 years' worth of sins (well, at least the really big ones) and wasn't expecting to feel as emotional as I did. But Father Kelly made it easy and I walked out with a penance of three Hail Mary's. I didn't even know how to pray a Hail Mary!!! Luckily, MaryAnn had the foresight to bring along a book of prayers. I also prayed the Rosary for the first time. It was profound experience and gave me much peace after my emotional confessions.

The rest of the weekend went way too fast, of course. We ate a lot and played a lot. What follows are just a few of the 126 photos I took...

Cousin Ben displayed his Easter spirit, too.

"Easter, Shmeaster." says Sigmund Pooh.

Early morning viewing of the Barbie 3-D movie, a gift from the Easter Bunny.

Later, Nick bonded with cousin Matt on the patio.

Truman enjoyed the Easter sun, too!

The girls (Grandma, Mary, Macy & I) toured the Tyler Rose Garden. It was a bright, sunny & hot day but Macy followed my instructions well by posing face towards the sun like our friend the Yellow Rose.

Hangin' out with Aunt Mary at the Hotel pool.

Ben, teaching young Macy the fine art of chalk-outline drawing. By the end of the night our driveway looked like a crime scene!

Jump, Nicky, Jump!

So I'll end my posting with little Mr. Cuteness. Here he's preparing for a big jump! Actually, it looks more like a power squat...

I know I'm biased but don't ya just wanna squeeze the poop outa him??!!

The Lost Month

I realize I've been over a month in posting and March has already flown by. We definitely kept busy, taking a couple day trips and playing in the beautiful spring weather. And best of all, the kids have continued to become the bestest of friends. What follows is a quick March recap. I hope to be back to weekly posting as of today.

April 8 was my company's annual "Eggstravaganza!" Here's the kids right before the big egg hunt.

Spent some time Sunday, April 2, at Davey Dogwood Park in Palestine. Well known for the beauty of their dogwood trees. Just like last year, we were a little too late and the blooms were already starting to droop and fade like this one here. Alas, we had a nice drive through the "forest" (as Macy put it).

On the way home from Palestine, we stopped at the fire station in Frankston so Macy could "tee-tee." We ended up playing there for awhile, too...

March brings in the annual Azaela hoopla in Tyler. Here's Miss Macy posing in the Azalea district. I just had to stop and shoot this pic as we were on our way to a wedding shower...

on March 11, the family journeyed to Shreveport to check out the new "Boardwalk" area. Here's Macy & Nick in front of the Red River.
